Even though this album came out in August 1997 I still listen to it constantly and it never stops to amaze me what McLachlan achieved on this set. The melodies, the sometimes complex lyrics and especially her beautiful voice are the main ingredients in this amazing collection of love songs. When I listen to the song ¨Angel¨ (featured in the movie City of Angels) sometimes I feel like an angel is whispering in my ear those magical lyrics to me. ¨Building a mystery¨and ¨Sweet Surrender¨also stand out in an album that is unforgettable. Don`t think she will ever be able to duplicate what she did here but I will continue to check her new music.
